Bryan Burvill, MSW, RSW (He/Him)
I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. I support individuals aged 13 and older, including adolescents and adults, as well as caregivers and families.
Throughout my career, I have worked across community mental health, hospital settings, school-based services, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to develop expertise in supporting individuals navigating trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), anxiety, emotion regulation challenges, family conflict, and significant life transitions.
As a cisgender, gay, mixed-race man, I understand the importance of feeling seen, accepted, and safe in the therapeutic relationship. I practice from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and affirming framework and am committed to creating a welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
My current areas of focus include supporting LGBTQ2+ individuals, trauma, anxiety, grief, identity exploration, emotion regulation, self-esteem, neurodevelopmental differences, and strengthening family relationships.
I believe meaningful therapy begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength based, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and strength-based, attachment-based, and trauma-informed care. Together, we will build on your strengths, deepen your understanding of your experiences, and develop practical strategies that foster resilience, healthier relationships, and lasting change.
I offer in-person counselling in the Etobicoke West Mall area, as well as secure virtual counselling for clients across Ontario, making therapy accessible wherever you are.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your adolescent, or your family, my goal is to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to explore challenges, discover your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that meaningful change and growth are rooted in hope!
